Ingredients: Sun-dried tomatoes, sunflower oil, salt, aromatic herbs, garlic, chilli.
Dried tomatoes are a food product made by drying tomatoes,
in particular with those of a variety that is not very watery and has a consistent skin, such as San Marzano.
The harvesting and drying period is from late July to the end of August, when the tomatoes reach full ripeness and an intense red color.
This product typically comes from Puglia but can also be sourced from the Mediterranean region.
Before being seasoned and flavored, dried tomatoes are soaked in water and vinegar to rehydrate, then drained and seasoned according to the recipe.
They are ideal for consumption as appetizers or as an accompaniment to main dishes.
